A dream of peacefulness and tranquillity in the Marche Region.
B&B is an ancient farmhouse, located in the countryside between Pesaro, Fano and Urbino. It is a few kilometres away from the well-known beaches of the Adriatic Coast, and from the historic and artistic beauties of Pesaro, Urbino, Fano and Gradara. It is located in authentic and unspoiled countryside, in welcome contrast to the superficiality of modern times. The surrounding countryside is very well preserved. The hundred year old trees and olive groves grow in a large, open landscape, where nothing interrupts the breathtaking views to the horizon.
The layout inside the farmhouse reflects the traditional rural life, when the ground floor was used as a stable and tool shed, and the upper floor was the farmer’s dwelling place, as well as a shelter for corn and vegetables, and a hayloft. In 1974, the Montanari Family bought the house. They soon converted the surrounding ten hectares of barley and cornfields in to orchard, olive groves, meadow and woodland. In 2007, the Genoese architect, Gloria Donega, began the restoration of the house, bringing some significant changes, but keeping the core of it as pure and authentic as it was in the late XIX century.
