The city of Cagliari is situated in the south of Sardinia, in the middle of the Golfo degli Angeli, and offers visitors many things to see and do. It is steeped in history, with a special charm, friendly population and a mild climate. Inhabited since ancient times, there is a mixture of traditions, architecture and customs, derived from centuries of contact with the Romans, Byzantines, Spanish and Piedmontese. In addition to the National Archaeological Museum, the largest in the world dedicated to the Nuraghic civilization, there is a second-century Roman Amphitheatre, the Basilica of San Saturnino, the oldest known church in Sardinia, and the fortified district of Castello, that until the Second World War, was the residence of nobles. Also worth visiting are the districts of Stampace, Marina and Villanova. Poetto (Su Poettu in Sardinian) is Cagliari's main beach that stretches for about five miles from Sella del Diavolo up the coast to Quartu Sant'Elena. The B&B is on the fifth floor of an elevator building in the San Benedetto district about 2 km from the railway station and 10 km from Elmas airport. Available to guests is a double room, furnished in modern style with parquet flooring, private bathroom, separate entrance, air conditioning, TV and terrace. Breakfast is served in the lounge.
