How to get to San Siro

How to get to San Siro

Are you planning out your trip to Milan to watch your favourite team’s match against Inter or Milan? Going to a concert at San Siro? Getting around in Milan is quite easy, thanks to the metro lines that allow you to get to the Meazza Stadium without renting a car. If you have booked a Milan B&B, it’ll be easy to get around and get to San Siro.

If you get into the city via the Milan Central Station , you only need to take the M2 line of the metro, (direction Gessate  - Abbiategrasso or Cologno Nord) - Assago forum for 2 stops until you hit the Garibaldi station, or take the M3 line (direction S.Donato  - Comasina) until the Zara stop: both from Garibaldi and Zara you can pick up the M5 line (direction Bignami - Stadio San Siro) and get straight to the Meazza Stadium.

When the important matches and big concerts are on, you can get to San Siro con the special buses that run from Piazzale Lotto (linea M1).

For those who prefer the bus or tram to the metro, there are two lines that run to San Siro: the 16 runs from Piazza Fontana and the 49 from Piazza Tirana, both in the San Siro direction.
