MIART at Fiera di Milano | April 5th - 7th 2019

This year Milan will host the 24th edition of MIART, the international fair of modern and contemporary art which will take place from April 5th to 7th 2019 and will be organized by Fiera Milano in collaboration with Intesa San Paolo.

This year the art director has chosen 186 galleries from nineteen different countries, selected by their high quality, without distinction between famous and new artists.
The galleries will be divided into seven sections: galleries of contemporary and modern art (Established and Established Masters); of emerging art (Emergent); of design (Object); the Generations section, which creates eight dialogues among artists of different generations; Decades, which represents all the twenty century decade by decade; On Demand which includes all the context-based, site-specific and interactive works, whose aim is to relate directly to the public.

The fair has 5 final prizes which the jury, made up of 18 museum directors and international curators from ten different countries, will give to the best artists and galleries.

The international exhibitors will be: ChertLüdde (Berlin), Clearing (Bruxelles – New York – Brooklyn), Dvir Gallery (Bruxelles – Tel Aviv) e Gladstone Gallery (New York – Bruxelles). The Italians most prestigious will be Galleria Continua (San Gimignano – Pechin – Les Moulins – Havana), Massimo De Carlo (Milan – London – Hong Kong), Massimo Minini (Brescia), P420 (Bologna), Lia Rumma (Milan – Naples) e Zero (Milan). But this year pride are new entries: Hauser & Wirth (Hong Kong – London – Los Angeles – New York – Somerset – St. Moritz – Gstdaad – Zurich) e Marian Goodman Gallery (New York – Paris – London) which has chosen Milan for the first time as artistic stage; Cabinet (London), Corvi-Mora (London), Herald St (London), Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac (Paris– London – Salzburg) and Tucci Russo (Torre Pellice).
