Rome International Film Festival 2014

A Rome appointment not to be missed as shown over the past 9 years: the Rome International Film Festival 2014, unmissable amongst many autumn events beginning now.

As promised every year, there will be the traditional red carpet walk that will guest the likes of Richard Gere, the Oscar winners Benicio Del Toro and Kevin Kostner, on 24th October William Dafoe, Abel Ferrara and Clive Owen will be at the Sinopoli screen room to meet the public.

Other than the red carpet walk in the Rome Film Festival, there is a jam packed schedule of movie projection on the many screens of the auditorium for those who are passionate about film to take advantage of. The 4 most important sections that will be presented are: Modern Cinema, where up and coming directors shall be not only showcased but also established on an international level; the Gala section where “popular and original” films will be shown with both well loved actors, in Italy and throughout the world. World Genre is the section of the Rome Film Festival, which is dedicated to various genres of cinema, realised by Indian and American directors. The new trends in Italian film will be found in the Italian Prospective section.

The audience of the Rome Film Festival will be the protagonists of the event as the films of the various sections shall be voted upon directly by the spectators at the event, while an exceptional jury shall award the “Taodue Camera D'Oro” to the best work in the feature film of the festival. The DOC.IT association will name the best documentary.
