Of the most important squares we would mention Piazza Esedra, Piazza Vittorio the splendid Piazza del Campidoglio standing on the Capitoline Hill at the feet of which we find Piazza Venezia with its majestic Altare della Patria. From here, a few minutes walk down Via del Corso brings us to Piazza Colonna, Piazza Navona and the famous steps of Piazza di Spagna. This is shown by the 11 aqueducts of ancient Rome and the hundreds of fountains and drinking fountains spread across the city.
