Lucania, better known as Basilicata, is a small region that proudly conserves its ancient agricultural tradition, taking great care of its natural assets and countryside. Regarding seaside resorts, we recommend the lovely Maratea on the Tyrrhenian Sea and Metaponto on the Ionian Sea. At Metapontino you can enjoy not only the beach but also the well cared for archaeological sites that date back to the Magna Grecia. For nature lovers and those who enjoy breath taking scenery a visit to the National Park of Pollino and the slopes of Mount Vulture is a must. Mount Vulture is an ancient volcano whose craters now house attractive lakes. Basilicata welcomes thousands of guests every year and offers a wide and varied range of accommodation choices.
