This B&B is located in one of the most beautiful old town in the whole of western Sicily. Sciacca, seaport in southwest Sicily, on the Mediterranean coast, 47 km/29 miles northwest of Agrigento.There are fisheries and coral banks, and hot sulphur springs nearby. It has an 11th-century cathedral. Sciacca It is also famous for its carnival. Sciacca Carnival, like all carnivals, originally developed as a pagan event in defiance of the ecclesiastic rule forbidding the eating of meat on Shrove Tuesday. The act of dressing up represents opposition to rules established by the Catholic Church. With its colourful costumes and decorated floats, representing characters that evoke ancient local traditions, Sciacca Carnival is a testimony to Sicily's rich cultural heritage. The coast of Sciacca is characterized by the large sandy beaches, the most notable are San Marco beach, with its slightly arched shape, and Sovareto beach.
