Situated in the valley of the Carpina torrent, on an organic farm of 130 hectares that is part of a protected area dedicated to the repopulation of game animals, this farmhouse accommodation has been completely restored and is made up of an old hamlet that has been transformed into apartments, studio apartments, and rooms. There is a swimming pool and an area that sells the farm produce including beef, pork, honey and jams. The famous Chianina organic beef can be cooked on the range and enjoyed with vegetables from the farm, homemade pastries and even mineral water from their own source. The mineral water is particularly healthy due to its low sodium content. The B&B is in the Corlo locality, close to Montone, a small medieval village that has remained unchanged during the centuries. A few kilometres from the accommodation is Umbertide, a town with ancient origins that was built on the banks of the Tiber River. It is full of lovely monuments and museums. It is 30 kms from Perugia, the Etruscan city full of architectural and artistic masterpieces; 35 kms from Assisi, the heart of Christian spirituality; 20 kms from Gubbio with its beautiful examples of medieval architecture; 70 km from Todi a town that attracts visitors from all over the world; 100 kms from Cascate delle Marmore (Terni) Europe's highest waterfalls and the Frasassi Caves, a wonderful itinerary of art and nature. Following the Tiber River, just 6 kms away from the farmhouse, there is a large sport fishing club that held the world fishing championship in 2005. The river is particularly important for the quality of its water and its fish life.
