Mattinata is a popular seaside resort on the Gargano Peninsula often awarded the Blue Flag for the quality of its waters. Located within Gargano National Park, Mattinata lies on two hills. The town center is located in a green valley surrounded by olive trees beyond which are the sea and forest. It is characterised by narrow streets that lead to small elegant houses. Unexpected landscapes and scenes of everyday life are around every corner. The stretch of sea between Mattinata and Vieste is renowned for its white cliffs, offshore rock formations and caves, some of which have not yet been fully explored. Mattinata beach, located about 1 km from town, is a large stretch of pebble beach and like nearby Vignanotica Bay is characterized by the presence of numerous caves carved out by the sea along the high rocky coasts towards Vieste. Bari-Palese airport is located 130 km away and from there guests can reach Foggia by train and continue by regular public bus service. Manfredonia (17 km), Vieste (38 km) and Foggia (50 km) can all be easily reached. The B&B is located in a historic 17th century farmhouse built out of stone. It has been completely restored, is surrounded by a citrus grove and offers guests two spacious and comfortable double rooms and two triple rooms, all with private bath. Breakfast is rich in natural products like marmalades, jams, cakes and biscuits.
