Impruneta is a small medieval village that, located a few kilometers from Florence and at the beginning of the Florentine Chianti, is ideally located for visiting the most beautiful places in Tuscany. Famous over the centuries for the production of terracotta, Impruneta provided Brunelleschi with terracotta to build the Dome of Florence but the town is also renowned for the majestic Basilica in which a famous relic is kept, for the splendid landscapes and for the production of an oil and wine.
The B&B is the ideal place for a vacation that combines countryside and city. The Villa surrounded by greenery is in fact an ideal place to relax but at the same time it is just a short walk from the town center and a few km from Florence, reachable in 20 minutes by car or bus that stops in front of the gate of entry of the property.
The structure, recognized as a building of historical interest and protected by the Ministry of Fine Arts, dates back to the first half of the 1500s and was renovated in 2008 but retains the charm of a former Villa. The magnificent main hall with its enormous fireplace in pietra serena and the small chapel with family tombs contribute to creating the feeling of a journey back in time.
The property has 4 large apartments, two one-room apartments and two two-room apartments. The apartments, all furnished with period furniture and paintings belonging to the family collection, enjoy a splendid view over the hills or the park of the Villa and are all equipped with a double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table with 4 chairs and a bathroom. with shower, flat-screen TV, WiFi internet and hairdryer. Three are also equipped with a washing machine and one enjoys a romantic balcony overlooking the park. The two-room apartments have a sofa bed to accommodate up to 4 people.
Breakfast, not included as all the accommodations are equipped with kitchens, is available on request and can be consumed in the majestic dining room of the Villa.
The large park offers relaxing solutions for all tastes: two large sunny meadows, one with a view of the hills the other is more sheltered, surrounded by secular trees, large shady areas under pine and cedar trees, 6 hectares of cultivated fields with olive trees and various fruit trees. Tables, chairs and deckchairs are available for all guests.
The owners are available to provide numerous additional services such as dinners, cooking lessons and guided tour bookings and will be happy to come and pick you up at the station or airport upon request.
