Surrounded by green mountains, where it is still possible to spot the last Sardinian deer, the small town of Ales lies quietly 350 metres above the sea level, silentely looking over its wild and charming territory. Arbus has been awarded for several years the famous “Cinque Vele”, the Lega Ambiente prize for the landscape, historical and cultural patrimony.
Arbus has several miles of uncontaminated seacoast, mediterranean forests populated by wild animals and a numb ofer architectural treasures of the past: from the phoenician, punic and roman sites to the most recent remains of the geological park of the mining villages.
