The city of Varese is located on the shores of Lake Varese about 20 km from Lake Maggiore and about 35 km from Lugano. It is known as 'the Garden City' due to its multitude of green areas including many gardens and parks surrounding the villas that can be found in the area. Places of interest in the vicinity are the Villa Panza Museum which houses contemporary art and Velate Tower. Both are listed as part of FAI (Italian Environment fund) heritage. The B&B is in a liberty-style 1930's house in the residential neighbourhood of Sant'Ambrogio. It has been entirely restored and is about 2 km from the centre of Varese, on the main road leading to Sacro Monte (Unesco heritage). It is located just 3 km from the Varese railway station and Varese North, 30 km from Malpensa Airport and about 50 km from Milan. The villa is surrounded by countryside, a garden with centenary trees and a pergola. For guests one double room with private bathroom and TV. A hearty breakfast is served in the elegant living room with fireplace.
