From here it is a short walk (about 500 metres) to the archaeological park (Greek Theatre, Orecchio di Dionsio, Roman Amphitheatre, Ara di lerone, Grotta dei cordari, and Latomie del Paradiso) and in the surrounding area (about 400 metres), you will find the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Lacrime, the "Paolo Orsi" archaeological museum, the San Giovanni Catacombs and the Papiro Centre. Ortigia Island can be reached on foot or by bus. If you want to use public transport, the bus stop (and taxi rank) is 50 metres from the accommodation and it is only 2 quick stops to the beautiful island.
