Situated along the ancient pilgrimage route, the Via Francigena , and only 10 minutes drive from the famous medieval towers of San Gimignano, is the beautiful country house of Montecarulli.
Our bed & breakfast is part of the private estate which covers 250 hectares of land, dotted with olive groves and vineyards from which the Chianti and Vernaccia wines are produced, not to mention the fields of sunflowers and woods. The house boasts 360 degree panorama and memorable views of the towns of Certaldo and Gambassi Terme.
Our intimate accommodations offer just few elegant and spacious rooms that have recently been completely refurbished paying great attention to detail. The rooms all come with air conditioning, satellite Tv, safe, bathroom with shower or bath and hair dryers. We have superior double rooms, family rooms (one double room and single room) and suite (one double room with separate lounge about 80 mq).
The beautiful lawned garden with its flowering hedges act as a perfect frame to the large infinity pool (measures aprox. 6x18 meters) from which you can admire the picturesque views of the Tuscan landscape.

If you are coming from the north
1. Take the A1 highway from Milan to Florence
2. Exit at Firenze Certosa
3. Take the dual-carriageway 'superstrada' for Siena
4. Exit at Poggibonsi Nord
5. Follow signs for San Gimignano for about 11 km
6. At San Gimignano, follow the road that skirts round the two main gates and continue towards Certaldo for about 1 km
7. Turn left towards Gambassi
8. After about 1 km turn right towards Pancole
9. Drive through the village of Pancole (going through a small tunnel under the church) and after about 500 m turn left towards Santo Pietro.
10. We are about 1.5 km down an unpaved road.
