In the heart of the town centre, this friendly bed and breakfast is housed in an eighteenth century building looking onto the wonderful Tyrrhenian Sea. It is a beautiful apartment with two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and two bathrooms with shower. The rooms are tastefully decorated and elegantly furnished. Apart from the regular services, guests can avail of a spacious terrace where, in good weather, a bountiful breakfast can be enjoyed, visitors can mix with the other guests, sunbathe or just relax. On exceptionally clear days, the Gulf of Saint Eufemia and even the Stromoli Volcano and the Eolie Islands can be seen by the naked eye. The Angioino-Aragonese Castle, also known as “Murat” is right beside the house. This is where, on 13 October 1815, Gioachino Murat, king of Naples and brother in law to Napoleon Bonapart, was shot. A short walk brings guests to Piazza della Repubblica which is defined as the town's tea room. A home made ice-cream at the Pizzo bar is a must for all visitors. About one km from the town centre is the characteristic little church of Piedigrotta built out of tufa. Due to its uniqueness, it is the best known and most visited spot in Calabria after the Riace Bronzes. Pizzo Calabro is a cheerful town of about 9000 inhabitants. It offers beautiful weather and a wonderful sea in an enchanting setting, hanging off a cliff over the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is a famous tourist destination thanks to it beaches, rock inlets, its clean sea water, its beautiful blue skies, its town centre with sunlit houses, its characteristic narrow streets and square that, as if it were the bow of a ship, reclines like a waterfall onto the rocks jutting out from the sparkling sea below. Minimun stay one week ( July and August ).

 Phenomenal view from the terrace, very friendly host, cosy flat full of originality. The bed was not uncomfortable, but too hard for us with springs that could be felt. We'd be happy to stay there again though.
