Built entirely with local stone, this structure is in part sculpted out of the rock that stretches out to the sea. It is truly an oasis of peace and tranquility tucked between the Amalfi and the Sorrento Coasts. The healthy air, the fresh spring water, the green woods and the breathtaking panoramic views make this a completely unique place. On the summit of Mount Pendolo, from where the farmhouse gets its name, there is a votive iron cross that has become the symbol of the area. Vineyards and chestnut trees accompany visitors on their excursions. There is a spectacular view of the gulf that opens onto the historical shipyards of Castellammare di Stabia, the islands and Vesuvius with its beautiful city of Pompeii. There are five double bedrooms and a triple bedroom available for guests. All the rooms have a private bathroom with shower and are comfortable and decorated in modern style. Following the hill path, visitors can reach the other side and see the Belvedere church and convent. The sea can be reached by the ancient road lined with centuries-old trees where half way along, visitors will find the peaceful Quisisana Castle, the Angioini summer residence. Another road leads to a small hill with the majestic Pino Castle, once an Amalfi stronghold, later a convent and then a church. But the most evocative if tiring walk is accross the “Tese”, which leads to Mount Faito, heading from there to the church of St. Michele Arcangelo, which was visited by many pilgrims in the past.. Naples is 40 km from the B&B, Positano 30 km, Sorrento 25, Amalfi 18, Pompei 10, Castellammare di Stabia 8.
