Palermo, the most important city in Sicily, is situated on the north-eastern coast of the island. It is in a great position for both climate and scenery. It has an abundance of artistic and historic places of importance and lush parklands which make it one of Italy's most important tourist destinations. The old town centre of Palermo has medieval origins and an irregular structure due to the fact that it is made up of four neighbourhoods that join at a right angle. This is the most characteristic part of town and also where nearly all the monuments are found, through which visitors can trace the city's historical and artistic origins. The Bed & Breakfast is in the historical part of town in an old Liberty-style building in Via Roma, in the heart of Palermo just 300 metres from the central station. Not far from the B&B, visitors will find the most important sights: the Cathedral, the Royal Palace, the Piazza Pretoria with its beautiful fountain and the Chiesa della Martorana and the Theatre Massimo. There are three double rooms and two triple rooms (possible to add a fourth bed). All the rooms are bright thanks to the wide, wooden framed windows that look out onto Via Roma and have an en-suite with shower, TV, telephone, minibar, air-conditioning, cosmetic mini kit and hairdryer. Some of the rooms also have a small balcony. The rooms are cosy and furnished with elegant wooden furniture.
