These findings can be seen in the local museums. The village of Mulazzo, located on a hill above the left bank of the Magra River, is of historical importance to medieval times. It was one of the oldest seats of the Malaspina Marquis and it is said that Dante, their guest, stayed in the castle tower and it was there that he was inspired to write some verses of the Divine Comedy.
