BED & BREAKFAST SECOLO NOVO  

An ancient Phoenician site, at the mouth of the Mazaro River, this was and important port in ancient times due to its protected location and its closeness to Africa. A Greek centre of commerce, Mazara was at its height under Arab rule and then under Norman rule. The mix of people in this town, including the Africans close by, still make up a good percentage of the population. Mazara today, is still considered one of the main centres for deep-sea fishing and is responsible for 20% of the national catch. A small oasis of relaxation is to be found in the Sicilian sun, surrounded by green countryside just a few minutes from the sandy beaches and rocks of Mazara. All the rooms have a balcony or window from where guests can admire the bright Sicilian sun. A small bar, a comfortable dining room and a gazebo surrounded by greenery, give this B&B a lovely relaxing atmosphere.
