The B&B is situated in the old Miramare Hotel, a remarkable Liberty building designed by the famous architect Coppedé and erected at the beginning of the XX century. It’s been recently  renovated and its numerous apartments have been luxuriously redecorated.
B&B offers a single and a double room, each with its bathroom (not en-suite) and is comfortably and tastefully furnished with antique pieces. You’ll have your breakfast in a spacious XXth century drawing-room overlooking the old port and facing the “Lanterna”, the old Medieval lighthouse that has become the symbol of Genoa and, when the weather is nice (quite a usual occurrence here in Genoa!), you’ll even manage to enjoy it in the open-air , on the spacious balcony, with a stunning view of the town and Gulf in front of you.

Its  position is strategic: very close to the main railway station (Piazza Principe) and within walking distance of nearly all of  the town’s main attractions: the so-called “Porto Antico”, a beautiful spot bordering the sea that used to accommodate the old wharves and warehouses and revovated by the famous architect Renzo Piano in 1992, which now houses the famous “Acquarium”, the biggest in Europe; the spectacular new “Museo del  Mare” (Sea Museum or Galata Museum); the “Bigo”, a circular-shaped elevator that lifts you up in the air (nearly 100 ft), giving a bird’s eye view of the oldest part of the town, with its slate roofs and beautiful old churches and palaces; the actual city centre, with the famous Palazzo Ducale, Piazza De Ferrari and the unique and renowned Via Garibaldi or Via Aurea, lined by 14 grandiose XVII century palaces, praised by Rubens in his time.
