Located on the south-western slopes of the Tuscan-Emilian mountains in Lunigiana, on a hill overlooking the Rosaro river valley. Here guests can enjoy panoramic views towards Lunigiana and eastern Fivizzano known as the Florence of Lunigiana thanks to the presence of a great number of works of art and historic buildings such as the Cojari mansion, town hall, Palazzo Fantano-Chigi and Palazzo Benedetti. Beyond the walls, near the hamlet of Verrucola is the castle of the same name, built by Spinetta Malaspina the Great. Nearby guests can easily reach the ski slopes of Cerreto Laghi (11Km) and the pools of Cormezzano (10 Km). Not to be missed is a visit to the Cultural Park of the Equi Terme Caves a large cavity accessed by a steep wall on which many species of birds nest. From the mouth of the cave begins a long well equipped path that leads to the new caves where visitors can see stalactites, stalagmites and all types of natural formations. Also worth noting are the many events held in Fivizzano every summer including: the Earth Challenge and Archers Court (July), Music World (late summer) and Fivizzano Flavors (May). The nearest international airport is Galileo Galilei in Pisa, while from the train station in Batesville there is regular bus service to Fivizzano. Upon request the owners provide shuttle service to/from Fivizzano. The apartment is located 7 kilometers from the center of town, in a typical country house with garden and has a bedroom, dining room with a sofa bed, kitchen and bathroom with shower. The furniture is comfortable and in good condition. For lovers of hiking and horseback riding a well equipped stable is available to guests as is a Country-style tavern where travelers can sample local cuisine.
