This B&B is in a modern building in the old town centre of Colle Val d'Elsa in the province of Siena. Colle Val d'Elsa, more simply known as Colle, is in the heart of Chianti, famous for its world-class wine production. Nearby are the cities of Siena, Florence, San Gimignano and Volterra. The original settlement has Etruscan-Roman origins and was even mentioned by Dante in the 'Divine Comedy'. Today Colle Val d'Elsa is called 'The City of Crystal'. It has high quality production of many products, not only crystal. Colle is geographically divided into three sections: Piano, Borgo and Castello. The B&B is located in the Piano section, just 100 metres from the Crystal Museum and from Arnolfo Square, the central part of Piano. The Porta Guelfa, the only remaining original entrance to the town is only 50 metres from the accommodation. Guests can admire the view of the medieval village from the windows of the two bedrooms. Colle is full of things to do and places to see. It hosts important exhibitions and shows all year round. With its central location, this B&B has three double bedrooms and two triple bedrooms. All the rooms have private bathroom and are peaceful. 50 metres away is the elevator that leads to the medieval village. The owner speaks good English and does her utmost to make sure her guests feel at home.
