This B&B is in Castelveccana in the Varese province 650 metres above Lake Maggiore whose beaches are easily reached (6 km). Malpensa is the nearest airport at 40 km, from there the Cittiglio railway station can be reached by the North Milanese line. From here a train leads to the Castelvaccana station. On request, the owners are happy to pick guests up form the Cittiglio or Castelveccana stations. The B&B is in an old stone farmhouse that has been entirely restored using ecological materials. It is on two hectares of land where the owners grow organic food and keep animals like goats, badgers and squirrels. Surrounded by chestnut woods, the farmhouse offers guests two double bedrooms sharing a bathroom. In one of the rooms there is also a set of bunk beds. There are wooden floors, ceilings and furniture while the walls are painted in warm colours. Guests can make use of the dining room with fireplace where breakfast is served in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

We had a very comfortable stay here. The host family is very welcoming and helpful, and the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful - high up above the lake in unspoilt woodland.
