The Monterano Natural Reserve protects one of prettiest and most uncontaminated corners of the Tuscia region between the Tolfa and Sabatini mountains. The Natural Reserve attracts thousands of tourists from all over Italy and Europe who come to see its scenery and the ruins of ancient Monterano where dozens of films have been set. Hilly woods, volcanic grounds with local vegetation and extremely rare ferns, pasture fields with typical local fauna and flora. All this is surrounded by the Mignone River which is listed among EU Sites of Interest that include the whole EU patrimony within the 2000 Nature Network. In this incredible setting we find a little village made up of 4 pretty wooden chalets that sleep two or four people equipped with bathroom with shower, heaters and bed linen. There is a breathtaking view from inside the chalets of the Canale Monterano natural reserve and the Tolfa mountains. Sunset paints the whole Monterano Ranch red. Guests have free run of the kitchen and club house where there is a self-service breakfast in the morning. It's an ideal place for a relaxing holiday with nature walks and horse riding.
