This independent studio apartment is in the heart of the old town centre of Bolsena, characterized by buildings in medieval stone. It is divided into a day area with a kitchenette and a double sofa bed and a night area with a double bed and a bathroom with shower. It is nicely decorated and has wooden ceiling beams and on parts of the wall the stone bricks are visible. Two French doors open onto a breathtaking view: at your feet is the town of Bolsena and the beautiful lake with its crystal blue water. It is the biggest volcanic lake in Europe, 150 metres deep in the centre. Here relaxation is guaranteed. You can only reach the b&b on foot from the car park next to the medieval castle which houses a museum. Walking up a characteristic street, you reach the front door with a view of the lake and a fountain. It is the prettiest and most peaceful neighbourhood in the Bolsena district, known as Castello (Castle). It is popular with foreign tourists in the summer who come to the beaches to swim in the lake or take boat trips and visit the area that is between Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany. Within easy reach are: Civita di Bagnoregio with its 'lunar' scenery, Orvieto (Km.20) with its famous Duomo and much more and Montefiascone (Km.15) with the legendary wine "EstEstEst" , and many other little towns around the lake like Rocca Farnese, Viterbo (Km.30) with its famous Palazzo dei Papi and Thermal baths open all year round, Tuscania (Km.40) with its ancient basilicas, Pitigliano (Km.30) Sorano (Km.30) and medieval Sovana (Km.35) known as "the town of tufa . About fifty km north is Mount Amiata and to the south are the Cimini Mountains. The Tyrrhenian Sea is at about 60 Km.
