Our bed&breakfast is a typical Lombard residence from the XVIII century. Ideal for business and tourism, it offers peace and relaxation.
Once the home of the astronomer Ercole Dembowski, famous for the study of double and multiple stars, the bed&breakfast is a great base for excursions to most major lakes of Northern Italy (Varese, Maggiore, Orta and Como).
The bed&breakfast is located 18 km from Milan Malpensa airport, 48 km from Milan and about 30 km from the Swiss border. The town of Milanello (1.5 km from the B&B) is a training venue for Milan A.C.
Each of the guest rooms opens onto a panoramic terrace where, on clear days, your view of the Alps centers on the Monte Rosa. In fact, Dembowski used this terrace for his astronomical observations. Below, the large porch and garden are perfect for a quiet afternoon or a romantic evening.
The house was completely renovated in 2010. We have three rooms available: the cyclamen room, the salmon room, and the green room. The cyclamen and the salmon room share a cozy living room that clusters around an inviting antique fireplace. The green room has a private bathroom.
The shared bathroom includes a toilet, bidet, bathtub, shower and a double sink. The private bathroom includes a toilet, bidet, shower and a single sink. The cyclamen room, the salmon room and the living room all retain their original mosaic floors. The green room and the bathrooms have newly installed tiled floors.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Complimentary hair dryer and iron are available upon request.
