The location setting of our bed and breakfast is the town of Silanus (NU), at the foothills of the Marghine mountains. It is a round house surrounded by green, which boasts of a vast landscape of pastures and stone walls, vineyards and olivegroves, which comes to the mountains of Gennargentu.
Immersed in a wealth of valuable monumental Silanus allows a dip in the ancient past of Sardinia, thanks to the domus de Janas, the menhirs, tombs of the giants and the Nuraghe of its territory. Of great interest are two Romanesque churches of San Lorenzo, built in the twelfth century by Cistercian monks, and Santa Sabina, with its original circular shape that is reminiscent of the near Nuraghe.
The country is in a favorable position compared to all the main roads of Sardinia as the site is near one of the largest roads on the island, also known as SS 131 Carlo Felice. From Silanus you can choose each time a different route that will take you in the wonderful and wild landscape of Barbagia; or Oristano, the city of Arborea’s judges; or in the lovely Catalan town of Alghero; or in the spectacular Gulf of Orosei.
But if you prefer to explore the surrounding area within a few tens of kilometers, you can find natural, archaeological, medieval, craft, etc.. sites, in the classic Marghine-Planargia tour which includes the towns of Bosa, Macomer, Silanus , Bolotana.
The small house provides our guests 2 double rooms, each with private bath with shower and hairdryer. There is the possibility of adding a third bed. The bedrooms and common rooms are situated on the ground floor .The wood kitchen used as a breakfast room has a television with satellite dish to keep up to date also our foreign guests. On fine days you can have breakfast outside in the shade of the gazebo and trees surrounding the house.
